London-based design atelier Haberdashery presents Skies - celebrating the ever changing skies, a tapestry of ethereal flowing forms and shifting hues drifting above.
Delicate clouds, formed by unseen airflows create a multitude of shapes and colours, ranging from soft blushes to vibrant oranges and light grey/blues. Haberdashery was inspired to celebrate this constantly evolving panorama in sculptural installations of billowing forms and ephemeral hues.
Crafted from fine opalescent glass, the billow components undulate and visually flow into one another forming compositions that represent the dense Drifts and lighter Wisps of clouds in the wider skyscape.
The carved flowing ridges on each of the billows trace the unseen air flows as well as guiding the viewer’s gaze through the composition and wider space.
Warm blushes of colour created by the diffused opalescent glass’ interaction with the light sources reflect the interplay of sunlight and atmosphere. Colours shift as the viewer moves around the piece, inviting them to explore and immerse themselves in the full spectrum of hues and forms.
All compositions are available in variations of size, form and numbers of billows. Personalisation is available through Haberdashery’s custom design service to ensure the sculpture achieves maximum impact in any environment.
